PLAYER COMMITMENT FORM

2007/2008

I,____________________________________do hereby acknowledge that I fully understand, accept and agree to honor and obey all the Florida Atlantic University and Florida Atlantic University Rugby Football Club Code of Conduct Rules and Regulations that govern my actions while representing the University and the Rugby Football Club.  I further agree that I will conduct myself in public in the appropriate manner to demonstrate pride and self respect that will ultimately bring honor to the Florida Atlantic University Rugby Football Club program. 

The general conduct regulations for the Rugby Club include but are not limited to:

                1.             No inappropriate use of foul or degrading language in public.

2.             No public drunkenness that renders a player incapable of controlling his/her actions that compromises the integrity and/or could result in formal legal charges and/or sanctions against the Rugby Club .

3.             No wearing of team apparel when participating in socials outside of the Rugby Club functions. 

4.             No inappropriate behavior while traveling with the Rugby Club.  This includes but is not limited to:

a.             Loud noise that can be heard outside of the confines of your room that disturbs the general public.

b.             No bouncing balls or other objects off of the hotel room walls that can cause damage and/or loud noises.   

c.             No unruly or lewd acts and/or behavior in public that could result in formal legal charges being filed against a player and/or formal sanctions being brought against the Rugby Club.

d.             No trespassing on hotel property when the facilities are posted and/or designated as being closed.  This includes but not limited to hotel pools, hot tubes, spa facilities, weight rooms, banquet rooms, and any other hotel facility that is either off limits or closed.

e.             No leaving the team facilities without permission.  No player is to leave the immediate area of the hotel without first getting permission from a coach or the person in charge.

f.             No drinking the night before a game!!!!!

Furthermore, I understand, accept and agree to commit to participate in all rugby functions, outside of playing the games, in order support MY Rugby Club.  The general functions include but are not limited to:

                1.             Team Fund Raisers

                2.             Team Community Volunteer Functions

                3.             School Recruiting Functions

                4.             Assist the Women’s Program

I understand, agree and accept my responsibilities as a member of the Florida Atlantic Rugby Football Club.  I further understand that any formal complaint received or violations witnessed by the Executive Board and/or Coaches of the aforementioned Code of Conduct Rules and Regulations may result in disciplinary action.  Multiple recorded violations by me may result in being suspended from participating in any rugby functions sanctioned by the Florida Atlantic Rugby Football Club.
